World Mental Health Day This Friday – Wear Something Yellow 💛 As part of World Mental Health Day, we will be taking some time in school to think about mental health, wellbeing and the importance of looking after ourselves and one another. This week, we have had a special whole-school assembly focusing on wellbeing and helping children understand that it is okay to talk about how we feel and to ask for help when we need it. To mark the occasion, we would love to invite the children and staff to wear something yellow alongside their usual school uniform on Friday 9th October. This does not need to be anything new or elaborate - it could simply be: 💛 Yellow socks 💛 A yellow hairband, ribbon or scrunchie 💛 A yellow T-shirt or jumper 💛 A yellow accessory World Mental Health Day takes place each year on 10th October and is an opportunity to raise awareness of mental health and encourage open, positive conversations about emotional wellbeing. If you would like information or advice about supporting children and young people's mental health, the following organisations offer helpful resources: YoungMinds – https://www.youngminds.org.uk/parent/ NHS – Children's and young people's mental health – https://www.nhs.uk/mental-health/children-and-young-adults/ As always, if you have any worries about your child's emotional wellbeing, please do speak to us. We are here to support our children and families. Thank you for helping us to make mental health something we can talk about openly, positively and without stigma
