Religious Education
Our enquiry based RE curriculum challenges children’s understanding of the different religions celebrated within our community, promoting respect and inclusion.
Discovery RE is an enquiry based approach making RE exciting and engaging for children.
Christianity is taught in every year group, with Christmas and Easter given fresh treatment every year, developing children’s learning in a progressive way. Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism are included.
British Values
Religious Education is a key player in engendering knowledge and understanding which can lead to tolerance and respect for others and their beliefs. It does not, however, teach children to passively accept, but rather encourages evaluation and critical thinking, equipping them to consider their beliefs.
